SATURDAY JULY 12th CARNIVAL DAY

Buxtons famous BillerettesFrom 10.00am and all day in The Pavilion Gardens Bouncy Slide Children’s rides.

12.30pm
Judging of Decorated Vehicles, Tableaux, Foot Characters and Trade Turnouts. This will be followed by the distribution of Trophies and Prize Cards.

1.50pm
The Wells Dressing Festival Queen will start the 2008 Buxton Carnival Road Race

2.00pm
The 2008 Wells Dressing Festival Queen, Rosebud and retinue on the Festival Coach will take up position at the head of the procession. The pageant procession will commence and follow the route STATION ROAD, SPRING GARDENS, THE QUADRANT, St. JOHN’S ROAD, BURLINGTON ROAD, WEST ROAD, HIGH STREET, MARKET PLACE, TERRACE ROAD AND THE CRESCENT. The procession will disperse via Old Hall Corner, The Square and The Pavilion Gardens.

Final entries for The Annual Duck Race organised by Buxton Lions. Entertainment by Dronfield St. John Ambulance Band, Buxton’s ever popular ‘Billerettes’  The Calden Canal Stompers Jazz Band and The City of Manchester Fire Brigade Pipe Band.

AFTER THE PROCESSION, IN THE PAVILION GARDENS.
Visiting Queens, Rosebuds and retinues from other Towns and Villages will be received by The 2008 Buxton Wells Dressing Festival Queen  Rosebud and Retinue to compete in the Parade of Queens. Everybody is welcome so please do come along and watch
